• reading uke tabs
• easy basic chords
• easy strum rhythms
• to play along with your favorite classic songs!

Dennis Fermin has been playing guitar for over 30 years and joyfully helping others learn to play along the way. As a graduate from Musician's Institute of California, he has the skills and the patience to teach on many different topics and styles of music. Meditation relaxes the body, heals the heart, and calms the mind. This class will introduce a variety of meditation techniques from different traditions. Each class will begin with some brief stretching and breathing followed by an opening meditation; then there will be a short sharing and discussion followed by a different closing meditation. We will be using chairs for all the seated meditations; you do not need to bring a mat or cushion. We may also do some special walking and sound bath meditations.

Scott Farber, Ph.D. has been practicing meditation since 1975, starting with TM (Transcendental Meditation). In addition to teaching yoga meditations, including yoga nidra, and the moving meditation of t'ai chi, he also has studied Zen, Buddhist, Tantric, Sufi, Kabbalah, and Arica methods of meditation.

Discover a yoga practice that has therapeutic benefits for seniors who may not be able to stand for long periods of time or may be uncomfortable seated on the floor.

For ages 18 and up.

In this painting course, Jenny will lead you through the fundamentals of oceanscape painting from composition to finished piece.  

You will learn how to break down a composition into readable shapes and patterns, how to mix colors as well as how to apply different painting applications all within an art historical framework.  Jenny’s goal is to work with each student from where they are and help them take the steps to get where they want to be.

Jenny is an award-winning, independent, St. Augustine area artist and has shown her work internationally in galleries and museums.  Her formal education includes a BS from Vanderbilt University, a certificate in Museum Studies from Northwestern University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Supplies Needed:

A few images of landscapes you might want to paint - printed out

a 16”x20” canvas,

a painter’s palette (do not get one with dividers as it is not conducive to mixing colors, paper plates can work quite well),

a variety of round and flat paintbrushes,

a general set of tube acrylic paints including black, green, yellow, red, brown, blue and two tubes of white or one large tube (white is used more than the other colors),

a rag for clean-up,

a plastic cup for water,

a pencil and eraser,

a plastic trash bag to transport your piece,

a sketchbook or white paper to make preliminary sketches on.

Come learn the fun dance art of Line Dance with a lively variety of music including Pop, Country, and Latin.

Wear comfortable shoes, preferably with leather bottoms.

Ramona is the former owner of Mona Gail Dance Center. She studied Ballroom dance under Jack Kalan and became a teacher at the age of sixteen. While working with Fred Astaire she became the Tri-State Dance Director. Ramona is a multi National Championship winner. She has experience in choreography and her local students won first place in the "I Love Dance Competition" at World Golf Village in 2020.

Instructor Dennis Shiels will guide you through a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Sometimes described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity and connects the mind and body.  This 1 hour class is for people who are beginners or easier version of Tai Chi.  Open to all adults 18+ for 4 Wednesdays in June at 12:30.
