Class subjects:

• Learning more Dominant 7th chords
• 12 Bar Blues in different keys
• Smooth chord changes
• More fun songs!

Requirements: 

• Ukulele
• Some experience with basic open string chords
• pen or pencil
• Music stand is suggested.

Dennis Fermin has been playing guitar for over 30 years and joyfully helping others learn to play along the way. As a graduate from Musician's Institute of California, he has the skills and the patience to teach on many different topics and styles of music. Class sessions will run on Wednesdays, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 from 9:45 - 11:15 a.m. at the River House, 179 Marine Street, St. Augustine 32084.

Classes are for ages 18 and up.

Join the River House Independence Day Choir! 

We'll prepare a short program of patriotic songs, a capella, in two part harmony, to perform in honor of Memorial Day at the Coastal Community Center and the Sunshine Center across the street from River House. Performances will take place during the last class of the month. Song sheets and recordings of the soprano and alto lines will be available to download before the start of class.

Bring a pencil.

No previous choral or singing experience is necessary. 

Singing teacher and classical singer Abigail Dyer was born in West Orange, New Jersey. With a private voice studio in St Augustine Beach and over 20 years' experience teaching opera professionals and amateur singers alike, Abby specializes in developing healthy vocal technique in the service of expressive singing.

Abby is a graduate of Vassar College (BA) and Columbia University (MA, M.Phil., Ph.D.), and the Mannes College Wagner Theater Program.

Class sessions will be held Tuesdays, May 7, 21, 28 from 10:15 to 11:15 at River House (179 Marine Street, St. Augustine 32084)

No class session on May 14.
