Join the River House Independence Day Choir! 

We'll prepare a short program of patriotic songs, a capella, in two part harmony, to perform in honor of Independence Day at the Sunshine Center across the street from River House and Bay View located next door. Song sheets and recordings of the soprano and alto lines will be available to download before the start of class.

Bring a pencil.

No previous choral or singing experience is necessary. 

There will be a performance during the last class in June for those who are interested.

Singing teacher and classical singer Abigail Dyer was born in West Orange, New Jersey. With a private voice studio in St Augustine Beach and over 20 years' experience teaching opera professionals and amateur singers alike, Abby specializes in developing healthy vocal technique in the service of expressive singing.

Abby is a graduate of Vassar College (BA) and Columbia University (MA, M.Phil., Ph.D.), and the Mannes College Wagner Theater Program.

Class sessions will be held Tuesdays, June 3, 10, 17, 24 from 10:15 to 11:15 at River House (179 Marine Street, St. Augustine 32084)

For ages 18 and up.

Learn how to relate to a percussion drum instrument in a Band type setting. We'll be jamming together to classic pop and rock favorites. This class is open to Guitar and Ukulele players. Come join the fun!

Requirements:

• Guitar or Ukulele
• Music stand 
• Pen and paper

In this friendly, introductory class, you will learn:

• instrument part names
• types of ukes
• string names/tuning
• reading uke tabs
• easy basic chords
• easy strum rhythms
• to play along with your favorite classic songs!

Requirements: Instrument, music stand, pen or pencil

Easy single note melodies

Power Chords / Classic riffs

Basic open string chords and Strum patterns
