Fish For Dinner: How to Clean Your Catch on Tuesday, May 7 at River House

Get ready for a morning of excitement and adventure at the picturesque River House located on the Matanzas River! Learn how to clean your catch. Hands on fish cleaning. Each participant will get to clean a fish while being instructed through each step. All methods will be taught. .

The group is limited to 10 total. Don't miss out on this fun Fishing event/activity!

This class will meet, rain or shine and will be mainly outdoors, so bring your sunscreen.

Certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn. Certified in Qi Gong with Master Robert Peng. Emotional Freedom Technique training with Dawson Church PhD.

Class sessions are on Tuesdays, May 7, 14 from 2:30 to 3:30 at River House (179 Marine St.)

The Herbal Pharmacy: Essential Oils on Thursdays in May at River House

Essential oils are an important component of aromatherapy, an alternative medicine practice. While essential oils are typically inhaled, there are a number of applications for essential oils to be used topically for treatment of headaches or muscle pain, or on surfaces such as bed linens or clothing to promote relaxation. In this course, we will look at how essential oils are produced and explore the potential uses for essential oils as a part of a daily health and wellness practices.

About the instructor: James is a professor of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, a master herbalist, integrative wellness practitioner and personal chef.

Class sessions will be held on Thursdays, May 16, 23, 30 from 3 to 4 at River House (179 Marine St.  St. Augustine 32084)

No class session on May 2 & 9.

No need to spend hours hunting for exotic ingredients as some of the healthiest spices are available at your local market and are probably already in your home.

Come join Bruce and Mindy to learn the latest research on specific spice benefits and how to use them to transform your cooking.
