In this workshop you will learn about abstract art, its history and the artists who first adventured into this new realm as you make your own piece of abstract art. You might ask, "Why is this art?"... the answer is, "because they did it first."
Materials needed:
- 8"x10" paper
- 16”x20” canvas,
- variety of "marking making" materials that appeal to you.... acrylic paint, colored pencils, pastels, pencils, etc...
Jenny is an award-winning, independent, St. Augustine area artist and has shown her work internationally in galleries and museums. Her formal education includes a BS from Vanderbilt University, a certificate in Museum Studies from Northwestern University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Class will be held on Wednesdays, March 5, 12, 26 from 1:45 to 3:45 at River House (179 Marine Street, St. Augustine 32084)
No class session on March 19.
For ages 18 and up.
